Sounds great! I'm thinking I'm going order the list for the order we play the games so everyone knows which games are up.
Also, a little note for everyone: This multiplayer challenge is supposed to introduce you guys to Nonoba's great multiplayer games. With this, I hope (even those this is a tournament) that you try to participate in the multiplayer games that you don't usually play. Go outside of what you are good at and explore some new games for once.

hey jsheppard I got my game forum in spring game for highscores and achievements :D btw did you know you saw that inside the game for timer highscore?
If this idea seem to work in the future, I'm thinking of doing a heptathlon competition. You know like the one in the Olympics. 8 players play 7 nonoba popular multiplayer games against each other, and get some corresponding number of points for each game they play, and then calculate the total of points in one ranked table. So this will encourage some nonoba players to be able to play in multiple games, and I think it would be fun if it was organized in a good way with active nonoba users. And I do have some experience in organizing tournaments as I have done two on fltron so far, and they were successful ;). What do you people think?

Hey folks! New big time updating. Just bumping this once more so everyone knows what is at stake. XP! That's right. This challenge, starting this upcoming Saturday, will being awarding XP to first, second, and third place finishes. So be ready to bring your A game! Important: We are now doing sign ups because there are prizes at stake, and it would be difficult to include everyone. This is where you sign up. My guess is we'll take the first 20 people to sign up. Also, remember the date and time: Jan 30th @ 2PM EST
Question, jsheppard.
You say you'll take the first 20 people, yet Shock Arena has a max of 5 people in a game, so is this going to be a proper 'tournament' style thing now with 4 matches of 5 and the winners face off against each other or are the other people on a reserve list of some sort?
Keep in mind, this is still an open process and will be tweaked in the future so we'll get the best results for everyone.
With the introduction of XP prizes, I felt that we could no longer only hold these games only with 4 or 5 people at a time and then award 3 prizes right after. Then all it would turn into is a fight to get on the game list. That's the explanation for the increase in the amount of people being involved.
As for the tournament style, it'll probably have to be tweaked for each game. Whether this be the amount of people involved, the length of the tournament, or the victory conditions, you'll probably see something different every week. For this particular week, with Shock Arena and 20 people, I was leaning toward having 4 group matches of 5, and then the top person from their groups would face off in the victory round for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th positions. Only 1st through 3rd would win XP prizes. All of this would occur on the same day. (Maybe in the future we'll have qualifying matches during the week, and then the final match on Saturday.)
